Fees and the final figure

What makes up the landed cost of a JoyaGoo parcel?
Four lines decide the final figure: the item price on the source listing, the domestic leg from the seller to the warehouse, the international line, and any add-ons chosen at packing. We keep them separate rather than merging them, because the international line follows chargeable weight while the domestic leg follows the seller and the province. Work through the landed cost gauge with your own numbers before committing to a line, and read our recorded teardowns as the shape of a bill rather than as a quote. Anything we have not re-checked on a live page is marked Not verified instead of estimated.
How is chargeable weight worked out, and why does it differ from the scale reading?
Chargeable weight takes the greater of two figures: the parcel on the scale, and the volumetric figure from its dimensions. Volumetric weight is length x width x height in centimetres divided by the divisor for that line; the larger of the two is then rounded up to the next 0.5 kg step. A jacket in a 40 x 30 x 20 cm carton gives 24,000 cubic centimetres, so a divisor of 6,000 yields 4.0 kg before the scale is read at all. Divisors differ between lines, which we confirm during the 12 rate re-checks held in this record. Run both figures through the chargeable weight gauge, because the 0.5 kg step is where most surprises sit.
Why does domestic freight appear twice on one order?
Two separate journeys are being charged. The first is the seller-to-warehouse leg, quoted by the source platform per item or per seller and paid with the item. The second is a transfer that appears when a parcel is consolidated, re-packed or moved between storage areas at the warehouse, and it only appears when that move actually happens. Neither is a duplicate of the other, and a genuine double charge looks different: it repeats the same amount on the same day for the same item. Ask for the transfer note if both lines show up together, then compare the pair against the packing and merging dossier. Recorded: both lines appeared together on 3 of the teardown orders in this record, and each one matched a separate journey. A charge we cannot match to a journey is recorded as Not verified.
How do I use JoyaGoo coupons when two of them will not combine?
Treat combination as the exception rather than the rule. A coupon is usually tied to a scope such as a category, a minimum spend or a first order on one line, and two coupons with overlapping scope will not both be applied. Apply the one with the earlier expiry first, read the figure the order shows afterwards, and only then try the second. If the second is refused, the scope explains it far more often than the value does. The coupon rules node sets out the order of operations. We publish no code values anywhere, because promotion codes change without notice and anything printed here would be stale within a week.
How do JoyaGoo credits behave before they expire on a refund?
A credit carries an expiry date, and a refund that lands as credit does not restart that clock: the count runs from the day the credit was issued, not from the day you next use it. Check the expiry before accepting a credit refund and compare it against the date you realistically expect to send the next parcel. A credit that expires before that parcel is worth less than the same amount returned to card. The credits and coupons node walks through the comparison, and the landed cost gauge shows what the credit has to beat. Expiry terms we have not read on a live page are recorded as Not verified.
Which weight band will my parcel fall into, and why are 480 g and 520 g priced alike?
Because lines bill in steps rather than in grams. Recorded: our tier table covers 6 lines across 9 tiers between 0.5 kg and 10 kg, and inside one tier the figure is flat, so 480 g and 520 g land in the same step. The jump sits at the boundary, where 520 g crosses into the next step and 480 g does not. Rounding up to the next 0.5 kg happens before the tier is chosen, which is why trimming 30 g off a parcel rarely changes anything while trimming 120 g sometimes does. Compare your own figure in the shipping bands gauge before repacking anything.

Shipping and lines

How long does JoyaGoo take to ship to the UK?
We publish the list rather than a single average, because the average hides the warehouse days inside it. Recorded: our log holds 24 UK parcels in the window 2026-08-01 to 2026-09-30, and the longest door-to-door run in that set is 61 days, with the rest spread below it. Warehouse days sit inside those figures, so a parcel waiting ten days for consolidation is slower without the line itself being slower. Read the spread, note that the sample covers one destination country, and treat a best case as a best case. The transit estimator turns a shipping date and a chosen line into a working range.
Warehouse tracking and line tracking disagree. Which one do I believe?
Believe the system that shows a physical scan, and read the other one as a status rather than a position. Warehouse tracking moves when the parcel is packed, weighed and handed over, then often stops, because that system ends at the handover. Line tracking begins at the first hub scan, which can lag handover by three to six days in a busy week (Community-reported, not independently verified). When the two disagree, take the later of the two dates as your working figure and keep the handover date separately. The transit estimator is built around exactly that gap.
How do I track an order once it has left the warehouse?
Start from the tracking number rather than the order status. Copy the number exactly as the warehouse shows it, including any letters, and check it on the carrier site for that line instead of a general search, because aggregators frequently serve a cached event. If the number returns nothing after 48 hours, ask the agent to confirm the handover scan rather than opening a loss case, since a missing first scan is far more common than a missing parcel. Recorded: we treat those 48 hours as the point to ask a question, never as the point to escalate a claim. Keep the handover date, because every later estimate depends on it. The transit estimator takes that date as its input.
Which weeks slip, and by how much?
Two windows slip predictably in our log: the days either side of the autumn national holiday, and the run-up to the spring festival, when the warehouse and the domestic leg slow at the same time. Recorded: across the 24 UK parcels in the 2026-08-01 to 2026-09-30 window, the slowest runs cluster around the holiday rather than spreading evenly. The week after a break often moves faster than a normal week, so the queue clears instead of compounding. Add five to seven days of buffer around those windows rather than changing line. The zone records list the lines and dates behind the pattern.
Should I consolidate three parcels into one, or send them separately?
Merge when all three parcels are light and all three are volumetric; keep them apart when one of them is dense. Consolidating removes two international base charges, which is the largest single saving on the table, but it also builds one larger carton, and the volumetric figure comes from that carton rather than from the three originals. Recorded across three consolidation cases: a split around the 6 kg mark usually favours sending whole, while three jersey pieces usually favour merging. Run both arrangements through the parcel consolidation gauge before deciding, and read the packing dossier for the reinforcement trade-off.
How do I estimate transit before committing to a line?
Build a range from three figures: the warehouse days you expect, the span the line itself quotes, and the gap between handover and first hub scan. Add the three, then widen the result by the buffer for the month you are shipping in. Recorded: our 24 UK parcels in the window 2026-08-01 to 2026-09-30 give the shape of that range, and we state the window so you can judge whether it matches your season. The transit estimator does the arithmetic from a shipping date and a chosen line. If the seller has not dispatched yet, the estimate starts later, so keep the domestic leg visible as its own line.
How do I choose a UK line for a 3 kg parcel?
Start from the tier rather than the headline rate. A 3 kg parcel sits near the middle of the 0.5 kg to 10 kg span we hold, and Recorded: at 6 lines across 9 tiers several lines land in the same tier at that mass, so the choice turns on excluded categories and declared-value treatment instead of on the rate. Shortlist two lines, price both at the chargeable figure rather than the scale figure, and check whether either refuses the category you are sending. The shipping bands gauge lists the steps, and the declared value node covers the paperwork side of the same decision.

Cancellations and refunds

How do I cancel an order before it leaves the warehouse?
Cancel while the item is still in the warehouse and has not been packed for a line, because that is the only state where the platform fee and the domestic leg usually come back and nothing irreversible has happened. Ask in writing, name the order reference and the item, and keep the reply. If a seller has already dispatched to the warehouse, the domestic leg is spent and will not be returned even when the item is turned around. The cancellation node lists the five states and what each one costs, and the exit cost list totals the figure before you ask.
Where is the point of no return on a cancellation?
There are three, and they arrive in order: the seller dispatching the item, the warehouse closing the parcel, and the line accepting handover. The first costs you the domestic leg, the second costs the packing and any add-ons, and the third costs the international freight, which is the largest of the three. Past the third point the parcel has to travel and come back, so a cancellation turns into a return with two freight legs attached. Recorded: on the cancelled orders in our log, the domestic leg was the only line that came back once the seller had dispatched. The five-state breakdown sits in the cancellation node, and the exit cost list shows how the figure stacks at each state.
What happens if an item becomes unavailable while my order is still open?
The order does not fail as a whole. The missing line is removed and the rest of the order continues, so expect a refund for the item price and a separate answer about the domestic leg for that seller, who may already have been paid. If the item was the only reason the parcel made sense, ask for the remaining lines to be held rather than packed, so you can decide once the refund lands. Whether the platform fee survives depends on what else is in the order. The cancellation node sets out both paths. Our own item records carry no availability field, by design.
How long does a refund take, and does it arrive as credit or back on the card?
Credit is usually the same day and the card route takes longer, with a gap measured in weeks rather than days. Recorded: the card refund in our own log took three weeks to appear. Take the credit when a next parcel is already planned and the expiry date falls after it; take the card route when it is not, because an unused credit is a full loss. Where a refund is part credit and part card, ask which portion is which before confirming anything. The credits and coupons node compares the two routes line by line.
What does it cost to walk away from a parcel already sitting in the warehouse?
Usually the warehouse days plus whatever add-ons have already been performed, and nothing else. Storage inside the free window costs nothing, so a parcel abandoned on day four is the cheapest possible exit; the same parcel on day forty is a different number. Recorded: the free window is counted from the day the item is booked in, which is why the booking date is worth keeping. Ask for a line-by-line statement rather than a total, because a total hides whether reinforcement or rehearsal packing was charged. The exit cost list is built for that request.

QC and sizing

What are the five QC positions that actually matter?
Five, read in the same order every time: the main image for shape and colour, the wash or size label against what was ordered, stitching density at the load points, hardware travel and finish, and the sole or size tag on footwear. Each position has three outcomes, which are pass, ask for a better photograph, or send it back, and the outcome depends on where a fault sits rather than on how large it looks. A loose thread at a shoulder is a load point; the same thread at a hem is not. Recorded across 85 QC readings: score the parcel with the QC scorecard before it is closed.
The QC photograph is blurry. What should I ask for?
Ask for one named position rather than better photographs in general. A request that names the wash label, the heel tag or the shoulder seam comes back usable, while a general complaint usually returns the same frame from the same angle. Give the reason as well: the label is unreadable, the stitching is out of focus, or the colour cannot be judged. Ask for the item flat, in daylight if the warehouse can manage it, against a plain surface. One request per position is fair and four at once slows the parcel. The QC scorecard lists what each position has to show to count as readable.
How do I read a sneaker size chart without trusting the label?
Measure the insole rather than reading the size printed on the box. Take the insole length in centimetres and compare it against the chart for that model, because the same EU size can differ by half a centimetre between lasts. If you already own a pair that fits, measure that insole and use it as the reference instead of any published chart. Recorded conversion: 1 in = 2.54 cm, so a chart quoted in inches needs converting before it can be compared with a metric measurement. The QC scorecard covers the tag check that catches a mis-picked size before dispatch.
A risk warning appeared on my order. When is it a false alarm?
A warning is a flag on a field, not a judgement about you. Recorded on our own orders: three signals explain most of them without anything being wrong, namely a first order on a new payment method, a shipping address in a different country from the billing address, and a basket drawn from several unrelated sellers. If one of those fits, answer the confirmation request and the order continues. If none fits, ask which field triggered the flag before sending anything further, because a warning that cannot be explained is the one worth pausing on. The method page describes how we read flags.
Which measurements should I take on a garment before judging the fit?
Four on a top: chest width measured flat across the garment, body length from the high point of the shoulder, sleeve length from the shoulder seam, and hem width. On trousers take the waistband relaxed and then pulled flat, the inseam from the crotch seam to the hem, and the front rise. Those figures beat any labelled size, because a label moves between production runs while a tape does not. Recorded category band: fleece sits at 450 to 800 g, which is also a useful check that the piece matches its description. Write the figures beside the size you ordered.

Account and rules

What does joyagoo.mobi itself store about me?
Nothing that identifies you. There is no account here, no order data, no payment data, and no form that sends anything to a server, because the calculators run inside the page. What we hold is anonymous aggregate visit statistics, which tell us how many people opened a page and roughly where the visit came from, never who they were. Cookies are used for that counting alone and every page works without them. Recorded: the site holds 0 account fields, because there is no account system behind it to hold them in. A message to our corrections address is read and answered, and the details in it are kept only until the correction is settled. The privacy page lists each item in the same order.
How do I remove the warm reminder without losing order alerts?
Switch off the reminder channel rather than the notification category. Reminders and status alerts normally sit under separate switches, so disabling the reminder leaves dispatch, handover and delivery alerts untouched. Check the switch after saving by looking at which event types remain enabled, and keep at least the handover and delivery alerts, since those two carry the dates every later estimate depends on. If the two are not separated, keep the alerts and filter the reminder messages at your mail provider instead. The account note walks through the same sequence in order.
Can I close my account while an order is still open?
Close it after the last parcel is delivered, not before. An open order still needs the account for refunds, address changes and any claim, and a closed account turns a straightforward refund into a support conversation that takes weeks. If you must close early, wait until every item has either shipped or been refunded, and keep the order references in your own records first. Withdraw any credit balance before closing, because credit left behind usually needs a manual request to recover. The cancellation node covers the states an order passes through and the exit cost list totals what is outstanding.
What are the rules for declared value on a UK parcel?
Declare what you paid, item by item, and keep that figure consistent with the invoice you can produce on request. The £135 line is the threshold people ask about most, so check where your total sits before dispatch rather than after it lands. A lower figure does not reliably reduce the charge, and it does cause a problem if the parcel is inspected or lost, because a claim settles against the declared value. Split a large parcel only when the split reflects real orders rather than a number you would prefer to see. The declared value node sets out the three branches and their irreversible points.
Can I save addresses so I do not retype UK postcodes?
Yes, and it is worth setting up properly once. Save the address in the format the warehouse expects, with the postcode on its own line and a phone number that is actually reachable, because a courier who cannot ring a number will hold a parcel rather than guess. Keep one default address and confirm it on every new order, since a saved address is applied silently and a stale flat number is the most common cause of a failed delivery. Recorded: a saved address is never re-confirmed by the warehouse, so the postcode and flat number are worth re-reading on each order. Do not store more addresses than you use, because each extra entry adds a chance of choosing the wrong one. The zone records cover what happens at the UK end.
